I am Martha Gay Rhoades. After high school I attended Duke University, then Northwestern Medical School, then University of Colorado for my residency in psychiatry. That is where I met my husband, Gerry. He is a third generation Montanan. We have been living in Montana for 26 years. Over the years we have enjoyed ballroom and country Western dancing, horseback riding in the mountains with our horses, hiking, rafting, kayaking and especially raising our son Jeffrey. He is now a PhD in neuroscience from Harvard and is married to Olivia, also a PhD in neuroscience from Harvard. They have 2 beautiful sons and live farther away than we would like.

My husband of 30 years, Bruce, passed away 2 years ago with cancer (after numerous years and numerous health issues). We had two daughters, Amanda and Sara. Amanda still lives in Idaho with her husband and three children Seth, Abby, and Adalyse. Sara lives in Scotland with her Scottish husband and daughter Edith. I graduated from college here in Idaho in 1996 after 8 years of working full time, going to school full time and trying to not let my family life suffer.
