NetGain Motors, Inc. PIE Truck

Since EMIS was originally designed for fleet vehicles, NetGain Motors expanded its prototype fleet to include a larger vehicle that was similar to the type of fleet vehicle we anticipated as the most likely candidate for the installation of EMIS and the Electrical Assist System..

Having already converted the S-10 Blazer and gained a plethora of experience from the project. The second EMIS installation went extremely smoothly and quickly. The availability of TransWarP Motors made the installation process far easier, and also significantly reduced the mechanical complexities of the project.

The PIE Truck project utilizes a TransWarP 11 motor and is installed in a vehicle with a gross weight of 10,000 lbs. It required the installation of 4 parallel strings of 48 Volts worth of batteries. Though the batteries were initially installed inside the vehicle for expediency, there is plenty of room along the frame rails beneath the vehicle to hold the batteries.

This installation utilizes a 48 Volt, 450 Amp controller - the amount of electrical assist is quite noticeable due to the TransWarP 11 Motor. Dynomometer testing has shown spectacular results. Further testing is planned for the near future!
